The Ø15 mm orbit combined with the RUPES Ø125 mm backing pad makes the random orbital polisher especially suitable for curved surfaces. The 15mm orbit of the LHR 15ES, which is shorter than its larger sibling the LHR 21ES, works with a higher rpm level compared to the LHR 21ES. This increased speed delivers the LHR 15ES with cutting power comparable to the LHR 21ES, despite the smaller orbit size. Its Ø130/150 mm BigFoot polishing foam pads, along with perfect balance and vibration-free operation, render the LHR 15ES a true asset and an essential tool for every detailer’s kit.

RANDOM ORBITAL: the backing plate moves in an orbit (the amplitude is determined by the distance between the rotation axis of the drive shaft and the backing plate’s central axis) and can rotate freely around its own central axis. The backing plate rotates at varying speeds and directions due to the centrifugal force generated from the offset movement and friction. If the friction forces are such that they inhibit the disc from rotating while the tool operates, the random orbital movement would transition to a simple orbital movement. The number of disc rotations varies and is independent of the number of orbits completed. Currently, the random orbital movement offers the best compromise in terms of efficiency and quality of surface treatment.

ANTISPINNING SHROUD
