CARPRO Descale is a brand new acidic car shampoo introduced at SEMA 2021. It was meticulously formulated to revive ceramic coatings that have accumulated mineral deposits.
Over time, minerals (often visible as water spots) and sometimes imperceptible buildup can "clog" the surface, resulting in a less smooth finish. This leads to increased surface tension, making it difficult for water and dirt to easily slide off. Many areas face this issue, commonly referred to as "hard water." The CARPRO Descale shampoo was developed to effectively eliminate and strip away these stubborn minerals from coated and non-coated cars alike. It disintegrates the built-up minerals that diminish gloss and restores the smoothness of ceramic coatings, while revitalizing its hydrophobic properties impacted by mineral marks!
Descale is exceptional for cleaning ceramic coatings and robust nano sealants (such as CARPRO Hydro2 or CARPRO Hydrofoam) from baked mineral deposits. However, it is not the ideal shampoo for routine cleaning of waxed or sealed cars, as it may strip away the wax or sealant. At Sky's the Limit Car Care, we recommend this product for coated vehicles subjected to heavy mineral accumulation, for quarterly maintenance washes, and for neglected vehicles with mineral stains as a first step before decontamination and detailing.
Like many CARPRO products, Descale can be utilized at the beginning of the detailing process or as a maintenance solution for your CQUARTZ coated vehicle. It can eliminate waxes and "old school" sealants, prepare the paint for polishing, or it can be used as intended to remove traffic film and minerals on both coated and non-coated vehicles.
